Happy days....

72 degrees here yesterday. 52 in the shade right now.

Crocuses are blooming.

My son & I dusted off the baseball gloves & hit the park.

Now the BP posts are starting to read like a high school chemistry class.

People are germinating extra seeds.

Growers are waking with a "spring" in the step.

Pre-season jitters abound.

Get along little doggy...we're getting close now.

Spring for you maybe, Winter finally showed up here. right now it is minus 23 degrees, and a wind chill of minus 46. Snowing like crazy. A good old Alberta Blizzard. Can't complain though, it's been an awsome winter all and all.

38 degrees here in NE North Dakota. Snow is melting, and it is nice to walk around without all of the heavy winter gear. I dug down into my garden to expose the dirt and see if the sun will melt around it. Did it just to get my neighbor excited, he tends to be a little hyper.

Low of 21 and a High of 42. Light snow dusting last night. I'm used to the temps hitting 70's or 80's this time of year. I'm glad I did not start any seeds yet. Long range forcast has it being real cold. So much for global warming. It's a minnie Ice Age! lol

In spite of snow flurries in the past week, I'm getting "itchy feet". We in the PNW are definetely experiencing below normal temperatures and less than normal rainfall during the past six weeks.
I walked the patch yesterday taking soil samples to send into A&L Labs. I also got the seed starting bench all cleaned off.....yep, getting itchy feet alright!
I'll be starting my seeds a few days later this year as I want to delay prime pollination by three days since I will be out of town the end of June. While it may affect the size of my Puyallup Fair pumpkin, it should not affect the later weigh-offs.

Was -11°C last night and we got another 15cm of snow. Right now, 11 a.m. chilly winds and about -4°C. Temps down to -15 to -20°C predicted…
Winter has been real consistent since the beginning of Nov. 05 - by far colder and more snow than the average.
And to top it off I was just reading today's sheet of my daily calendar and it says "Wie der März, so ist der ganze Sommer. (Wetterregel)" - The whole summer will be like March. LOL Great prospects!
