lol, I got a warning from ebay telling me I couldn't send his bidders warnings !!!!
I'm a seller as well so I had to get off that behavior. I did do the "reporting" thing for fake/fraud.

If someone or some people were to create a fake ebay account and place a very high bid, and then not pay. Ebay could only cancel your fake account. But hey, that would not be fair or ethical.

Oh yeah...the picture is a real train wreck now. But that pumpkin is still Bruce's & the description is still misleading.

I'm losing faith in eBay. I once thought they actually cared about the accuracy of a sellers claims. I guess with all the positive feedback the guy has gotten by the ignorant buyers they must think the guy is OK.

I agree completely Steve. By chopping the photo, the seller is admitting he knows he's wrong, but is continuing to rip people off. What a shame.

As I mentioned before arn't there ANY giant pumpkin growers in this guy's area ( Malden, Mass ) . If it were my backyard I think I'd ask a friend ( a non known pumpkin grower ) to order seeds from this guy , just to get his return mailing address, bring some proof with me then pay them a visit......... What do you think Bruce.

I have the sellers home address provided by a guy who did buy the seeds. I thought about organizing a "boyz from da hood posse" but I'm getting kinda old for that stuff now. LOL

I gave it to Bruce though.

Well, this person is making quite a few bucks and I'm sure most people are buying those seeds because of that beautiful ATLANTIC GIANT pumpkin in the photo in Bruce's back yard. I am sure the guy selling the Big Max is wondering if a bunch of bad feedback will blow up on him with every sale. He can't be real happy about this, but still Ebay is letting him get away with it.

I can't believe it... he photo-chopped Bruce's house out of
the image, but Bruce's wife is still there! Although it's
now so butchered, you really can't tell. Interesting, it's
sunny in some places in that image, and overcast in others.
The pumpkin is more orange now... before it had a reddish
hue.

So sad...

I'm really surprized that Ebay doesn't seem to want to know.

Here is an approach that will put this guy out of business. If five growers here all start offering giant pumpkin seeds for free (shipping cost only)on ebay, we can make it unprofitable for him to continue.....

It will take a little effort but we can spam the category with free seeds. I'll give it a try. Hopefully, I won't get thousands of responses.

Try selling for a couple of weeks some genetics that you are not sure of. Charge a little extra for the shipping and handling, and state on the sale bill that these are genuine Atlantic Giants, and you are not scamming with anyone else's photo.
