Reguarding the giant pumpkin seed collection up for bid on ebay I know the grower personally.he wishs to remain anonymous ,yes he is a real grower and an honest hard working go getter like the majority of us monster gourd growers! He has also been in the weighoff at topsfield and some of you might have met him in the past.he,s got hundreds of seeds left Not up for bid these are shortly going to be donated to the NHGPGA.(the reason on the auction is simply a return on his investment)He has not grown for a couple of years now and does not plan on growing anytime in the near future, you could say he has found other time consumming hobbies to persue.the authenticity of these seeds i can vouch for as i was at a cook out when he won in my words the hottest seed in this auction a 723 also nearly 99% of these seeds were recived from the original growers. I know Some of you are wondering why im posting this!well because theres no skunk in this tree lot and i think 15 minutes of my time for a friend isent to much to ask.Hey if i had the cash i would certainly make a bid.hope this clears up any doubts reguarding reason and authenticity.Best wishs. John Girgus

wow,,,I think I'll join the group and hope for some trickle down of the seeds !

Glad someone stepped up, there is enough trouble on ebay at this point with scams and fakes.

Well....at $560 the reserve is still not met. I heard that they couldn't even get $100 for an 845 at the Niagara
Seminar, so i'd say that the value of "prime seeds" appears to be falling fast.

Just my guess, but with so many good seeds out there I think it's getting easier to find one that is or will be hot. If that is true, it's just a case of supply and demand and the price of the older hot seeds will come down.

However, I wish your friend the best of luck John.

I've got a pretty good idea who it is & agree with John about this grower. Hope those seeds don't sit there & collect dust . Al Berard

In the giant vegetable seed trade business letting folks know who they are buying seeds from gives the seeds more or less credibilty. Later Scott.
