Kyle:
Since you have posted about 2005 seeds to growers I would ask you to post the message you sent to Wallace Simmons about the Southern growers meeting and the 2nd tier seeds.
I am asking you to post the email in full, with all of the insults to me!

Kyle Little:
At the 2004 growers meeting you volunteered to coordinate the 2005 Winter growers meeting which I had done for the previous 3 years.
You organized the SPGA, collected dues from atendees of the 2004 meeting. Requested seeds from members of this list for seeds to be raffled for the benefit of the SPGA.
You held a raffle in the name of the SPGA and according to your post on this list you took in approx. $3,100.00.
Between the dues paid by attendees at the 2004 Growers meeting and the $3,100.00 you say you took in from the SPGA raffle, you took in approx $3,500.00.
You never held a growers meeting, you never sponsered a weigh off as you said you would in your post to this list.
You owe the members of bp.com an explanation.
Wheres the money Kyle Little?????????

Bob, You were never associated with the SPGA except to send in initial dues, which were returned to you after you accused me of stealing them. You never lifted a finger to help in the 2 years I attempted to get the group up and running, except to make malicious posts on this and the hort.net website towards, and about, me. You have zero knowledge of what I did, or did not, do in the 2 years I spent trying to formulize the SPGA into a viable entity. As for the SPGA raffle last year, you have zero knowledge on how it was done, whose seeds were involved as the prizes, or when the prizes were disbursed and how much money was created. In other words, you have no idea of what you're talking about, nor have you for the last 2 years as you have done nothing to help me out, nor have you any information on what detailed efforts were were put into the group. I owe you absolutely no explanation, much less on a public forum website, as you have no right to be privy to that information as you were not a member of the group...the same group you have tried your very best to sabatoge and create failure for during the last 2 years. You sir are nothing more than a troublemaker, liar, and a coward. I will be more that happy to discuss these matters with you at the Allardt weigh-off, man-to-man, this year if you would like. Otherwise I will assume you will take the easy and cowardly way out by staying in the comforts and protection of your own home, sitting at your computer, continuing to make these incessant and infantile attacks towards me.

And to set the record straight, I volunteered to establish the next Winters meeting, which was a "seperate from the SPGA because it wasn't established yet" meeting, because YOU asked me too. When I was in the midst of setting one up at the Univ. of Tennessee @ Knoxville, I learned you had already gone behind me and set one up at the old location in Dillard, GA.....that was helpful, thanks. Kind of hard to get a meeting going when someone is sabatoging it in the background by creating another in lieu of yours. I never collected dues at ANY meeting and when I did recieve dues thru the mail, only 2-3 of those members were from the Dillard meeting. The majority of growers who were the initial members of the new SPGA were from non-Southern states. I never promised a Southern weigh-off, although I did try to get one established in Boone, NC. Unfortunately, that fell thru as the Town Council had other plans. You really should get your "facts" straight before posting for millions of viewers to see and be able to read through your hateful, vindictive slander. See you at Allardt Bob?

Maybe Ken can impanel a jury and we can have the trial right here. This is nothing to settle at a weigh-off. No site coordinator will want to deal with this. So far, we have had some nice opening statements to the jury. (I watch Boston Legal.) Now we need some statements from witnesses. On the other hand, maybe you guys should be directing your attention to the garden and getting your long gourds, pumpkins and squash started. Why spend time on something that is likely to never be resolved, at least not here on Bigpumpkins.com? Bob, come to the Altoona Weigh-Off again this year. Bring a nice long gourd. Ken, go to the Allart Weigh-Off. Don't go on the pumpkin cruise, just in case.

Kyle, You are wrong about Bob setting the meeting up, I did that on my own. He did not ask me to set one up. I did not want to go to a meeting in Knoxville. You should of went ahead with the meeting there. We only had 6 people in Dillard. Bob has not tried to sabatoge your SPGA. You are your own worst enemy. You don't have enough time by your own addmission with all the other things you are involved with and you are very quick temptered. Doug

I hate to get in the middle of this and this is why I will only make this one post.
I won a couple of the lots and received a few seeds through the raffle in last years "SPGA Raffle". I don't remember the exact amount but I sent $100-$200 to Southern to help them with start a weigh-off.
Southern himself noted in this thread that $3,100 was raised:
http://www.bigpumpkins.com/MsgBoard/ViewThread.asp?b=3&p=112862
If my contribution and others contributions were not used for their intended purpose (a weigh-off) then where did they go? I am not going to assume anything. I feel that some of the items noted in this thread simply beg the question.

I wasn't going to post any further replies here since the post has completely gotten away from its' original intention, but I do feel compelled to respond to Mr. Adams comments. I stand corrected....Bob must not have been the "one" who arranged the Dillard meeting. But I was asked by him to establish a Winter meeting for 2005, which I was doing by arranging things at the Univ. of Tennessee. Since you 6 participants were presumably to be at the Winter meeting as you had previously done, what further point was there for me to continue my efforts? The *arranger* may not technically have been Mr. Attaway, but the outcome was the same....my *perception* of "sabatoge". Seems strange to me Mr. Adams that since we've only met 1-maybe 2 times, and never had a conversation longer than 4-5 minutes, that you are so astute to know me so personally that you are able to ascertain that one of my personality traits is a "quick temper". Since you and Mr. Attaway are friends, or at the least friendly acquaintences, I would assume that your assumptions about me are quite biased and not worthy of reliability. I will no longer participate in this thread but follow the teachings as noted in Matthew 5:44-46, and keep my peace to myself.

I too participated in his RAFFLE.I did so with the intention that even if I did not win the raffle, the money would go to the club and help out.A lot of people did the same thing. Many growers donated their best seeds to help out. These auctions are not intended for personal gain so we ask you Kyle "SHOW US THE MONEY".

Kyle, I just wanted to make sure you understood that Bob didn't have anything in any kind of way to do with me setting up the meeting. Your were not even going to be able to attend the meeting in Knoxville. I don't think it would of ever happened.
I want to ensure you that Bob has had nothing to do with any assumptions or opinions i have about you. I got them from reading your emails over the years. Starting when you got into it with Len several years back. All people have to do is a search on this site and they can read for themselves. I didn't join the SPGA because of your emails I had read on this site in the past. I didn't join but I do feel the people who did join and participated in raffle deserve an answer from you about where did the money go.

Weren't 99% of the seed lots from Kyle's own seed collection? I know I entered and won a seed lot and was pretty happy with the seeds I got, like most folks I'm sure.If he was going to try to make money on this , he would have simply put the seeds on ebay and cleaned up. The SPGA was still-born despite Kyle's efforts. Do we throw stones at some-one who at least tried? At best, membership money could be returned but that would still leave Kyle out of pocket for Banners, T-shirts,mailing, set up of the logo, web-site etc. It 'ain't cheap folks. I know, we just started a club up here last year. Where should any money left over go? I'd be pissed if I gave up so much of my time and seed collection for nothing especially after so much personal tragedy, ill health and people letting me down. There is no way I'd be handing over cash to anybody else who wanted to form a new SPGA after all that! I can see both sides of the argument but I think it's best just to let sleeping dogs lie in this case. I joined the Western Canadian pumpkin growers and that club died very soon too but at least Ernie tried and I don't feel ripped off at all.

"Weren't 99% of the seed lots from Kyle's own seed collection?"
Well now, if they were from his personal seed collection, I sure wouldn't trust them! Tell me how this happens? A 935 X 3 generations of selfed 935 Lloyd genetic produces an orange fruit? I also know that one of the 332 Scheets produced an orange, thin walled, long fruit with absolutly NO Lloyd genetic traits whatsoever! Now, this means one thing omly, Don't trust Kyle with genetics when you expect to get the real deal! If you can't trust someone with their own personal seed stock, how can you trust them with your money....
$$$$$$ End of line $$$$$$$ ----------------------------------------------------------- 2003 435# (Official) Little (659 McCallum x sibb)= (1092 Burke x self X sibb) More 935 Lloyd genetics. Tall, wide, white fruit, very solid ----------------------------------------------------------- 332 Scheetz 2004 (435 Little x self) Pollinated 7-19 5 lobes on main 10'out. Fruit was wheel shaped.Shaded/no bugs or disease. Light orange in color

The 435# WAS absolutely hand pollinated and true to cross, because I did it and I'm anal when it comes to my pumpkins. Whoever you are "pumpkinsnare", for you to insinuate that you know more about genetics than anyone else is asinine. Haven't you heard the famous 810 Dill has thrown fruit that most definitely NOT brilliant orange. Have not all of seen abnormalities in pumpkins that we never thought we'd see. For you to judge my character without knowing me shows true ignorance. I've been on this site for 4 years and here you come with the first post I've ever seen from you. Who are you? And who are you to insult a man's personal pumpkins? I've done far more trades on this site that you've ever even grown anything and you have the authority to make such an accusation. I'd sure like to know who YOU are and what makes YOU so qualified? Seems like a big-mouth troublemaker #2 to me. Doug...I'm glad you "learned" me from posts, most people make assumptions from face-to-face meetings. We all know the inferences gained or lost thru electronic communication and the misperceptions they deliver. BTW...did you ever hear both sides on the story on that issue? I didn't think so..... Thanks Cowpie, finally a voice of reason in a sea of insanity and group mania. This post should die as it's useless.

You got alot of nerve "pumpkinsnare" telling folks not to trust my crosses. Be a man and tell us who you are and what makes you so qualified in genetics, and qualified to judge my character? I'm certainly waiting to know why folks shouldn't trust my crosses because a 935 Lloyd prodigy went light orange....ever access AGGC and seen variances before? C'mon "pumpkinsnare", be a man and tell us all about genetics and why my crosses can't be trusted...a valid explanation please.

"pumpkinsnare"....here's some info that can readily be obtained thru the AGGC. Pictures are available for the pumpkins I'm listing except for the 659 McCallum which was pale orange from the 1 photo I have seen of it. Direct descendants of the 935 Lloyd that were light/pale orange or a mix with orange included.... 1131 Checkon 805 Pukos (descendant of the 1092 Burke) 972 Bobier 788 Carlson (mix) 765 Bruce 760 Jongeneel 712 Kuhn (mix) 550 Andrews (mix) Those are the ones with pics on AGGC. There are many others. There are also many cases in which offspring were/are not the same shape as the parental pumpkin. I can easily do a 15 minute research and provide you with multitudes of examples if you wish. I believe you owe me a retraction of the statement....."Don't trust Kyle with genetics when you expect to get the real deal! Do your research before you make deflammatory comments that affect a person's reputation.

Matfox...let me say this to you and anyone else who feels "involved" although they have absolutely no explanation due to them. I will not get on a public message board, viewed by anyone who wishes to view it, and discuss monetary matters that had to do with the SPGA. You, and many, many others most certainly have no right to be privy to that kind of information and will not receive it. To those who participated in the raffle, it was done fairly and results drawn by an impartial 3rd party, the seeds were top-notch and highly sought after, and those that won were rewarded with quality seed. That is the end of the discussion as far as I'm concerned.

Kyle is taking alot of hits here. I didn't participate in the raffle, I don't know a thing about the SGPA. I don't know Bob, I have talked (and received seeds from) Doug. I have sent seeds with and talked to (gained knowledge from) Kyle many times, and have never ever felt cheated or anything like it. Moreover, in all my experiences with him, he's been a nice guy. This is just a tricky situation. I believe his last post was as much as he needed to say. Lets really end this HERE. AleX Noel.

See, here's the thing. Lots of people on this thread have never been members of the SPGA and never paid dues or participated in the seed auction. We do similar things though with other clubs and our own club if we belong to one. We all know how difficult it is to raise money. We also read posts on BigPumpkins.com. Bob Attaway posted some stuff and Kyle responded. That put it in the public domain. You guys by putting it out there made it our business more or less. Now we see the various accusations and it gets down to where is the money? Anyone reading this thread can come to only one conclusion as to where the money is. How much money is still not clear. Looks like around $3000 give or take. The question now is where should the money be? Right now I think we know where it is. In the spirit of all the clubs is that where it should be or should it go to some other club or the GPC or back to the people who sent it in or to some charity? Or does it belong to Kyle? So Kyle tell us what you are going to do with the money and lets end this thread and turn the lights out.

Anyone who participats in the seed raffle does so with the simple hope of winning seeds. As a raffle participant I don't feel that it is any of my business as to how the money is spent because it wasn't part of what was offered to me as a participant in the raffle. What was offered was the opportunity to win come great seeds, not to specify how the money was to be spent. I bought some chances and won some seeds. Now that I have the seeds, the group I won them from has no right to tell me what to do with them, and I have no right to tell them how to use the money I sent to them.
