There were out here briefly last week. I don't live close enough to hear the Peepers from home.
I wonder if it would be possible to create an environment for them. How large a boggy area do they need? Hmmm.

Tremor, I have a goldfish pond that is 6x8x2 feet and we have frogs of all sorts including peepers. It's not a hard setup, the pump is the only hard part. I think dripworks sells everything you would need.

Nothing but fermented crabapple drunken robins here... You would think they would learn one of these years...A window is still a hard surface to crash into..even if you are attacking your own reflection.

Orangeneck,
I have a small pond like that too. Waterfalls & everrything. We release some Bull Frogs & a few hung around. Maybe the Peepers don't like the Gold Fish?

No peepers yet. Tremor, I have a small pond and fall (only a few ft. long) and the frogs love it. There are many dug in rocks around it, and various heights of plants, I keep it wet. My town is a filled swamp though, so the amount of frogs within 300 ft. is overwhelming, that contributes to it I'm sure. AleX Noel.

still waiting for spring here, it has rained 24 or 25 days so far this month, a record, one might think I live with the north shore boys, but I am 1000 miles south. Webbing is starting to form between me toes

I feel like a human sponge. This spring is just to wet for my liking. It just seems like yesterday that february was like Spring is supposed to be. Weather is all out of wack for the last year or so.

Peeping, as of last night! It was almost 70 here today!!!!! That's like 20 warmer than normal for now. Can't let myself get overexcited and do something to mess up the season though, it will cool down (hope not though!). AleX.

Spring Peeper (Pseudacris crucifer)
One of the coolest things about early spring is their peeping call.

I know spring is here and planting season is close when I have to wash the bird poop off of my vehicles every day. it seems in winter the vehicles stay outside more than in the spring to fall seasons the birds totally bombard everything, probabaly due to all of the abundant food ( worms ) they are consuming from the garden and patch. What a pain in the butt, as if you want to garden prepare for a dirty windshield every day...lol

Wash it off?! Can't do that and expect a big pumpkin, have to scoop it off with a tiny spoon and put it in the patch. That's what the heavy hitters do I hear. Every bit helps! LOL! AleX.
