Frank, they are electric space heaters, I know a few guys that use em.

Frank, Yup used them before. They keep the pipes from freezing in the milkhouse. Just my 2 cents worth.-Ron

I used them last year and they worked great in my mini greenhouses.

We ran 2 in the greenhouse last year. Cheap & easy to use but at 120VAC they spin the meter.

but steve, dont they have a theromost in them where you can set and they shutt off.

They do have thermostats. But when they're running they use a lot of energy to make heat. A decent Modine or even a 240 VAC heater would have been much more efficient for the larger area I was heating.
