Which sunflower would be the best to grow. I have some Craven, Bott's, Ripley cross, and Craven & Bott.

Sounds like you got those at the veggie exchange, since that was some of the plants that I sent in. If you have limited space, I recommend growing Bott's Strain, because that doesn't need quite as much room as Craven. You can grow them easily in a 2X2ft. spacing and they are one of the most consistent at getting tall.

Craven can grow pretty large heads. In 2002, I had one Craven plant put on a 2 ft. head. Ripley generally puts on a 14 inch or larger head. The best I've found is Diane's Strain, but it doesn't sound like you have that.
