What are your opinions. If two seeds with good genetics are started in the same way at the same time, one pops up out of the soil in 3 days, and the other pops out in 6 to 7 days. Is it fair to say that the germination time reveals the "keeper" and more vibrant plant or is it meaningless and both are just as good?

First impressions mean a lot to some people. But in Pumpkin seeds it makes no difference whatsoever.

more agreement. 920 Cole often takes 7 or more days to germinate with ideal conditions.

I don't know about that? I know my first born Son is a keeper, the other two siblings are questionable? Sure glad my kids do not have access to this web site. Just kidding, they are all great kids just in a different way just like pumpkins. Regardless of who germs first, one thing is for sure, they won't "turn out" the same as the other's.

Pay no attention whatsoever as to which plant pops up first. It has no bearing on plant or pumpkin size!
