Not Pumpkin related but this board gets the most traffic.
I don't even have a Chase account but this is a very convincing looking email until youdiscover it was sent from a yahoo based address.
I also doubt that Chase would use the term "violated".

We get fake Pay Pal alerts all the time. We do not even have an account with them.

I get about 3-4 of these per week. Chase bank, WAMU, Bank of America, etc, and I live in Canada?! These can be very convincing (some times - not always). There are thousands of these scams out there.

I fell for one of these about 2 years ago, from "wells fargo" entered my password and all, thank goodness I figured it out within an hour or so, I logged into wells fargo and changed my password, never fall for that again.

They don't ask for it over the phone either. If in doubt, say no, and go to your branch in person. I spend my days putting these identity theft idiots in jail, and trust me, there's a lot of them...

I forwarded a couple of those to abuse@Chase. I get 2-3 or more every day. No Chase account here either. I also get the ones from BOA and Ebay.
I love this part:
"Please click the link below and enter your account information to confirm that you are not currently away."
Away? When I'm "away" is when I'm going to use my credit card the most!
