There is no information on the 720 on the AGGC. So I'd have to go with the other two. Certainly I would consider planting the 1233.

I would grow, one for big = 699 and one for show = 1233 My 699 seedling is just splitting the soil. :-)

I don't know, I heard somebody say that 720.6 might grow the next World Record. (845 X 898) X (898 X 845). Huh huh, wut'd ya say, oh 1500+ potential, that's what I was thinking too. Barrel shaped, no flaws. Man, that Noel guy sure made a good cross there. LOL! Well, you know my opinion. I don't know what's in the 699. I heard it was a bad luck seed though! LOL! 720.6 1233.5 AleX Noel.

I heard the 1104 is like flipping a coin... it produces two very different phenotypes. One is great, the other is crap. The 720 looks good on paper, but I'm not very confident in the pollinator (1104), and would like to know more about the specific plant that pollinated the 720. With that said...
I would go with the 699 for sure, and the 1233 would probably be my second choice. Tom

The pollinator was not your typical 1104.5 plant from the other people I talked to. Everyone complained of small leaves and slow thin vines on theirs. It also normally threw uglies. My plant was the direct opposite. It had a leaf that was 42" long, several 3-4 ft. tall, a 24" circ. stump, a 3-4" dia. main, and 2" dia. secondaries. It was racing compared to my 1068. The pumpkin grew 27 lb. on like day 15. It had a terrible stem split at about 300 (it was racing ahead of most everyone else). The split had to be stopped if it would survive so I basically poisoned the stem with bleach and it stopped. It plodded along and got to 557. 4 days after the weighoff, there was a mushy dot on the blossom. I touched it and my finger went in. I cut it open and 10+ gallons of juices spilled out. It had let a tiny bubble of air in when it split, resealed, put on 300 lb.'s in 1.5 months, sat for 1 month, internally stuing for the whole time. After big evaporation (I'm sure), it still was rock solid to knock on and weighed 7-8% over. It was strangely a dark orange, but cantaloped heavily. Basically the same (outside) characteristics of the 1443 Palmer, but a bit darker. The seed was from Brett. He marks all his seeds. I remark all of mine so carefully, and mark all pots and planting sites. It does seem like a wierd seed though. AleX Noel.

Now that changes the situation a little bit. Thanks for the great info. Do you have a picture of your 557? Tom

No a good shot, this is very "whitely" lit. But picture that darker orange. AleX.
