My 1230 Daletas has not started to germinate after 4 days. I want to choose a replacement seed but I cant make up my mind. I have the following seeds that I would like to grow in the spot of the 1230. Please let me know what you would do! LOL To many great seed so little space!
1233 Reiss (670 Diagle X 801.5 Stelts) 1016 Daletas (705 Stelts X 846 Calai) 699 Bosworth (1260 Weir X 1370 Rose) 891 Northrup (810 Dill X 1230 Daletas)
Thanks, Mikkal

If you really wanted to grow a 1230 then plant the 1016, it's the same seed

Isn't it possible that it's still come up? I admit that 4days sounds like an awfully long time. But, it's possible. Isn't it?

There have been much longer times, yes. Keep it in there until there is no doubt (10+ days), wouldn't want to waste it! 1016 though, for sure. AleX Noel.

Mikkal, gently pull out the seed to see if it has rooted. if so, it may have a hard time sheding the seed coat. If that doesn't work, plant the 1016!

no germination on my 1230 yet after 2 days. the others all made it already. I'm prepared to wait it out for a while. serious though, more people would plant the 1016 instead of the 1230 regardless.

I did check the seed for a root and nothing is even forming at the tip. All other seeds are up and going in the ground tommorow. I will start the 1016 as a replacement. Thanks for the help guys!!

Im with tree doctor. Uncover the seed and pull on it slightly. You will know by the feel if it has rooted or not. $ days isnt anothing to get to worked up about, my state fair plants took a week this yr to come up. If it dont look good then start a 1016. Mike Frantz

Yeah I know Mike, I pulled the seed out, No root no nothing from the seed. So I will be starting the 1016 to replace the 1230.
Thanks for the help. Mikkal

I had one come up 30 days after direct planting it in the garden last year. It was a real shock to see the seedling there!
I've had much better luck now that I pinch off the outside edge along the tip prior to planting in the seed starter medium.
