Is there anyway to tell if your seedling is going to turn into a flatvine or do you have to wait for maturity to see it?
Thx

You can see one when the vine gets a couple inches, the first couple segments are often wierd anyway though (correct themselves). AleX Noel.

Usually if you get two first true leaves coming up at the same time, there's a good chance that it's going to flat vine. Things are usually done in pairs on that type of plant. You can generally tell very early on. Jack LaRue suggests flooding that plant with a trickle of water and many times it will grow out of it.

What I heard there was that they just put (dumped) some 10 gal. water cans on the seedling, and it stopped growing for a couple days, and then when it restarted, it was fine. They said Jack had said to let water trickle in for some hours. Depends on how fast your soil drains I guess. I would do the constant trickle, my soil would lose dumped water too fast. AleX.
