The 222 Debacco germinated with three cot leaves. Though it seems to be growing as normally as the other 27 GP/GS seedlings in my patch. Currently they are all sprouting their second set of mature leaves. A little slow - but we went from above average temps - to below average temps.. So I'm not going to worry over it..
What is your experience with 3 cot leafed vines? Is it a possible triploid?

sit back and wait...if it is a double viner surgery will fix it.

A 1370 I just germinated is a three cot seedling, though one of them is a lot smaller than the other two. One of the big ones is deformed and has dried up. Horrible looking seedling, forced myself to germinate my other 1370 just in case.

Achieved the same on my 500 Beauchemin. To bad, its my only one. As by the way of compensation the 621 Welty comes up with only 1 cot leave. Looks like the 500 had stolen it by night. My daughter believing that story I told to her. lol Started, to be on the safe side, a 1027 Beachy and 1 more 621 as backups.

I had 3 cots on the 905 Ailts I grew last year. The plant grew completely normal without any other flaws. Don't count your plant out just yet.

When I first read these I had never seen 3 cots before. Then my 805 pukos came up with 3. It germinated fine and so far it seems to be growing all right, but I'll keep an eye on it.
