OK, I admit that I am new at this endeavor being as how this is only my second year. While starting my seeds indoors, I am noticing two types of leaves. A couple of them looks like a healty leave, just like I had last year. Then, there are several with a darker green color and having more curl to them They look so bad I want to pull them up and start more seeds. Is this something to worry about or will they grow out of the sickly look. Frank of Iowa

Frank, If they are not dying wait. I'm assuming they are the seed leaves, and it is normal for them to sometimes look gnarly. Wait to see what the 1st true leaves look like . Many times they are just fine. If the plant in general looks healthy your probably alright. If your not sure it never hurts to start a few back-ups either.
