I am looking to improve my sprayer from a cheap $30 hand sprayer to something a little better. My original intentions were to go with a Stihl mist blower, but I think I am going to wait (and save) for a 4-mix mister.

In the meantime, what are other people using for their foliar applications?

Thank you, and good luck to all this year!!

I've seen diaries which show a $6 Miracle-Gro No-Clog fertilizer sprayer being used. Last year, I used one connected to an oscilating sprinkler. I also used a one gallon sprayer and often mixed my foliar feeding with Sevin and Ambush. This year I may buy a two gallon sprayer since I've been using the other one with Roundup. But, what I'd really like to do is build my own misting system with PVC pipe and misters.

I been looking at this electric power washer in my basement and had been thinking about using it as a mister, its a 1600 psi power washer with a 12oz bottle that comes with it. I can get a real good mist with this gun sprayer but dont have a clue how much fertz and insecticides to use in the 12 oz bottle, this is one of the reasons why I havnt used it.

Matt, this power washer I have, when set to mist really covers alot of area,if I figure out the mix ratio to water on certain fertz, insecticides and fungicides Im going to try it this year.

I am going to put misters on ground level, pointing up, as well as above leaf level pointing down, this will allow me to kill two birds, mix neem, and or, baking soda, for PM control, and fish, kelp, molasses, foliar feeding, I will put an air connection in line to clear the pipe between treatments

I just saw some great misters at a store today. They were basically a coloured piece of 1/2" or 3/4" PVC pipe bent in such a way that it can stand on its own. At the ground end is a hose connection and at the top are two fogging nozzles. I didn't see how much it cost. But, it may be perfect for inside a greenhouse or for foliar feeding if hooked up to a hose end feeder.
