I want to make a compost tea brewer does anyone have plans on how to build it?

all you need is bucket, a bubbler stone, tubing and air pump thats it.

gordon, that looks like a good guide. But, I don't know why they wouldn't start with the compost in a filter (like an old sock) as I have seen some others on this site do. It seems like that would be easier than filtering afterwards. Plus, it would keep more solids out of your mixture in case you want to use it with a sprayer.

.....Tea Brewers are the rage presently. If you want the best aerobic tea from compost you need a proven maker. One of the few proven relatively inexpensive small batch makers is the Biti-Bobolator by North Country Organics. This tea brewer is proven and the test results are on the web site.

.....However the facts are that you can not make high quality tea from less than high quality compost. Using North Country Organics your tea will cost about fifteen to twenty cents a gallon using their proven compost and booster elements for bacteria and fungi.

......Please note that I did not say you could not make tea from any compost. It is simply a matter of degree of quality. After all a good tea can be made from a bucket full of any fresh manure or your own compost and manure with air introduced by a canoe paddle.

.....Befor going off the deep end with unproven plans to make tea from unproven sources I suggest you read, read, and read some more. Ask the plans or equipment provider for the test results proving the biological quality of the output. Sorry to report most have none.

......Over the years I have made aerobic tea and anaerobic teas most anyway you might ask me about. Today I use the Biti-Bobolator knowing the production will be very high quality within a range, of well proven qualities. The pure and simple reason, for this, is the fact that North Country Organics has worked, for years, developing his tea brewers. Once again you get what you pay for. I am sorry I did not discover this equipment much earlier, in my gardening history.

....While a bit pricy my tests have all fallen within the higher levels, of aerobic tea, that can be produced. I no longer test. I place my faith, in a proven brewer and proven compost elements. The results have been very pleasing all over my property on all kinds of growing landscape material.
