Neem is organic..just be cautious when you apply it. Do not apply it in the morning on a bright sunny day. Spray only neem oil, do not mix it with any other chemical.

neem oil can burn leaves even when sprayed in the evening in hight heat areas. I do not use it in san diego any more, it burned my leaves even when I sprayed with pre-cautions.

There is a valid reason why organic chemists invented synthetic pesticides. But ANYTHING we apply can burn the younger leaves especially on warm days. Ditto the early evening sprays at the lowest rates & not on the last 2 leaves. Tips burn the easiest of all since the growth is so lush & tender.

Even if the ratio 1% to 99%? 1% being neem and 99% water?

Do as you want...just do not say we did not warn you. We burnt up alot of cucumbers, squash and gourds last year with neem. In the Organic section of our garden.
