Interested in hearing what some of you do to the terminated portion of a vine.
What risks (if any) are present?

Jamie, When i get done terminating the end portion of the vine I pull out some salt, sprinkle it on then I open the 9 inch thick steal door and quickly throw it down in the cellar to my wife. This in part helps from any decaying cut off portion that you throw down on your patch from rotting and attracting bugs that will in return make your plant die of being eaton then later rot. Hope this helps ol-buddy.

Salt???
I usually let the end air-dry for a day then bury it the following day.
Brooks is funny though. Not every man can get away with locking his wife in the cellar to cook his meals. My wife knows how to unlock the darn cellar door.
