Do usually split when the plant is infected with damening off disease? Do the plant continue to grow and produce leaves when infected with dampening off?

to help with the damping off just scatch up the surface of infected area spray fungicide, and let the sun dry it out should kill it. as far as splits with that you may not make it that far treat asap. Rog
