Doug go to the Dollar Store and Buy the Plastic coat hangers 10 for a buck. Cut them in half, and you have two stakes. Otherwise in Wisconsin we have these things called trees which have limbs. They seem to work good for sticks..We even use them to roast SMORES with.

Frank, I don't think we have a local benneys up here. Thanks.
Dan, We have plenty of nurseries. Thanks.
Shannon, Is "trees with limbs" a chain store? I've never seen them in MN. Oh.... you mean regular trees. I think we have a few here(I live close to where the prairie meets the hardwoods:-) Thanks.

Any garden center or home depot, etc. Buy the long ones and chop them up to save money.

You could probably get a good deal on them in China. They make everything cheap over there.

I get mine at the Dollar store. I take a saw to them while they're still in the bag and double the amount of sticks too. I like to keep the stick height lower than the leaves so that the leaves don't rip on the top of the sticks as they blow around a bit in the wind.

Dad gum it.....the bambo was all sold off the wagon so the one horse could make it over the mountain. I mail ordered them from one, of many catalogs, that had them this spring.
