What is the latest i can set(AG)fruit on Cali Central Coast and be done by October 31?

oct 31 is not the usuall date people look at, but if it is just for your own use at home that is fine, you want a finish almost a month later than everyone who is taking there pumpkin to a weigh off, you need about 80-90 days of fruit growth, so about july 1 should do it

No no no Gary if Mark wants a pumpkin for Halloween Oct 31 then setting a pumpkin July 31 pollination gives 90 days. Most competition pumpkins are set approx. July 1 from what I have observed. Jim

Yes for personal use only, no problem. So it's 80-90 days from pollination?

If you can hold your plant and fruit together that long, yes 80-90 days but I think I'll be happy to go 70 days this year honestly. I'm sure the damage from borers or some other catastrophe will take me out by then!
