Mother Nature layed a licking on me within seconds the skys blackened lighting filled the still sunlit sky, as the winds picked up in come the Hail No time to save plant, from damage, My question is Should i leave some of the not so bad leaves on and relie on secondary growth that has less damage, or am I done with, over 25 leafs 16 to 22 inches across took the most damage, some of the smaller leafs missed any major although some have a hole or 2

give her a chance to recover
maybe take off nearly severed pieces
but keep most
treat vine wounds
recovery will be quicker than you think

take some photos for future victims
this gets somebody every week or two
it might give hope to next guy

hail damage until late or middle Aug is really not much to worry about, unless your plants are totally destroyed. last season hail hit my plants twice the last time I had to remove nearly a third of the plant but it was still early enough in july where by aug you couldn't tell i every even had hail..have been growing for 7 years and if I've had 2 years without hail damage of some sort i'd be lucky had hail damage 2 weeks age on most of the leaves now there is no sign of it so keep your chin up you'll be alright .. mark

They'll live, just give them time to recover.
