Does anyone on the MA coast know where I can get a couple rain barrels (blue ones or the white 50 gallon jobs, preferable ones that didnt have chems in them, I have two that stored food coloring syrups). I need a few more for a rain collection system. Looking for a 300 gallon (give or take) tank also. You know the type in the wire frames landscapers use. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

One good place to always look is the Quick Lube places, some of them get their windshield washer solvent in 50 gallon drums. That's where I get ones for myself & my brother. And the best part is that they are always free....

Car washes get soap & wax in them.

Arborists get Dormant & Horticultural Oil in them. Technically, they're not supposed to be re-used. But no harm would come from their use if they've been rinsed out.

Some dry cleaners have used ones out back but the cleaning solutions can be very nasty.

You can also buy 35 gallon plastic garbage cans in many colors and not worry about what was in them previously. I know, it is not quite 50 gallons, but ....

A and B lumber- route 106 in Pembroke NH. They sell 50 gallon barrels that have stored foodstuffs- no chemicals. If you check out my diary, you can see them in some photos.

I got 2 of the big white ones from Pepsi. I just happened to be making a delivery there and saw them and asked if I could have a couple, and they even helped me load em up!
