Well, just had to post, the 7 day war with my second gopher of the year is finally over. He survived 4 floodings, two days of trappings, two poison days, one assassination attempt with my gun where I got a shot at him, and today, finally, he was nailed in the last flooding attempt. The hardest gopher I have ever come against. Took some major damage to the patch in one area so he got me too. I posted in my diary for anyone who wants to see one really dead gopher, but the image is graphic so be advised on that part! I'm happy this morning lol Jimmy

I always found calcium carbide to be very fast and effective against gophers. One or two good shots and they are gone! Oh and it is fun too.
