i bought a soil tester for around 20 bucks. it is just a box with a wand that you stick in the ground. no batteries. i just was wondering what anyone thinks of these. if they are accurate for starters? i noticed that sometimes the reading adjusts quite a bit if left in ground.

Someone just made $20 bucks off you....They are not very accurate...Stick some vinegar in water and see if you ph changes.
