I know it isn't a great Cucumber Beetle control agent.

But have any of the southern growers used Surround for it's shading effects? If so, what have you thought?

The Harry and David orchard managers are using more and more Surround or equal. I saw acres and acres of pears treated with Surround or equal, last summer just North, of Portland, Ore. Saw even more South, of Portland down, to the Calif. Northern boarder.

Fertrell has a similar product that is gaining favor with growers.

Hey Steve, I put some on my plants this past Fri. I'll put some pictures of my 558 Little in the photo gallery. I've been having trouble with wilting and leaf burn on this plant at temperatures of 90° and above. This first picture will be of the 558 Little about an hour after application. The picture was taken in the morning and it wasn't hot yet. The second picture was taken Sunday, June 2nd. It hit 97 here with lots of sun and there was no wilting. To soon to tell about leaf burn.
