Yes you do!!! Go see pics on coloradopumpkins.com under the hail button....and check out the early post on "All Hail Breaks Loose in COLORADO FOR last week..Its been one week since I was hit...give it some time. I was lucky because I covered my tips, so I had a little bit left. Now,,, after one week I have new growth at the ends.....the first 5-6 feet though are all gone so I covered with soil per the advisement of the fine folks at BP.com that told me not to give up. Dont give up.....cover, nuture your plants....its amaZing how strong these are....Once theyre covered with soil its not as painful to see the bruised splint vines......Its strange because the new secondarys seem to have so much more energy now than they did before......time will tell on the punkins, havent seen a female yet.....Good Luck to you.... Grow'em BIG..........keep your eye on the sky
