My one pumpkin plant has a set fruit on it, and it is around the size of a grapefruit, but I am worried as it is SLOWLY inching along. Not growing very fast. Measured around the side over side and it only grew a half an inch last night. Thing is the vine itself has also come to a standstill for the most part. It is growing very slowly as well. I noticed that the main is growing somewhat thicker, but not much of anything lengthwise. My other plant is speeding right along. What could be the problem?

Assuming you treated them equally the answer is that no two, of these critters, grow exactly the same. Gardens or patches do develop hot or cold growing spots from unequal treatment.

Thanks. It seems to be putting more energy into its secondaries as far as growth. We are supposed to get scorched here for the next few days being in the 90's. I just hope I can do whatever I can to keep these. Just hope and pray.
