On Saturday my plastic blue shade tarp fell on my pumpkin. The temp got up to over 100 degrees. When I removed the plastic, it looked like moisture was trapped under the tarp, and the pumpkin had an ugly mark where the plastic was touching. It looked kind of like your skin when you have been in the water too long. The next day, it looked beeter, but the spot flattened out a bit and the color is lighter on that spot. The pumpkin is still growing, but will this cause serious harm? Has this happened to anyone else? I posted a picture last night in my diary that shows the spot. I tried posting a better picture, but my computer crashed.

It will become a scar most likely. It has happened to a lot of growers.
