Has anyone seen an unusual amount of aborts this year? I've had three or 4 females that I thought would be ready to polinate and they all have rotted. Not just as small, pea sized bulbs, but as pretty big, almost ready to flower bulbs. It's cooling down a little today and tonight and I have another that should open tomorrow. I hope things go all right. It's getting late.

Dave last year we had the heat you are experiencing, shade, ice and fingers crossed and able to hook something, including side vine options. Females puckered and ready to go, then shriveled. We ended the season with lotsa rain... This year we started with lotsa rain resulting in a new set of difficulties. Hopin for a little heat/sun come September. Good Luck Peter

Three plants, 3 to 4 aborts per plant. I'm outta room to grow, might be the year of nothing after the pumpkin. Will make the stem stress issue much easier to handle. Only poll so far is from the 17th. :(
