This is my last chance on one plant and just wondering if it's worth saving? Anyone ever grow a good one from a 3 lober? Duff

maybe the 1140 Stelts... it had either 3 or 4 lobes. Maybe someone else remembers more acurately.

The 1140 Stelts was grown off a 4 lobe female. I have heard that the more lobes the better, as each lobe has it's own seed sections within the fruit. The pumpkin will, in theory, grow larger that a smaller lobed pumpkin. But there are always different things that happen that go against theory. I have had 3 amd 4 lobed females that I have grown but not to much of a major size. 700 pounds. Just a small tidbit: a friend of mine grew a 938 pound pumpkin off a 7 lobe female.
