Mt Vernon Ky. i have stump rot on one of my best plants 1104 hester i have a pumpkin growing only about a 1" a day should i leave it or pull it it is around 160lb right thanks vic

try to dig out the rot, and apply captain paste, if you have burried vines you can still grow it out even with out the stump, many have grown huge pumpkins without a stump.

I know of a heavy hitter than will scrape the rot with a pocket knife & then dab it with strait 70% isopropyl rubbing alcohol. Works for him but I haven't tried it.
