3 of my six plants are being effected by Gummy Stem Blight. The Chambers 183 (844 Wyckoff x 898 Knauss & 783 Daletas), 764 Colbert (763 Biss x 1097 Beachy) and the 100 Lyons (1236 Eaton x 842 Eaton). The 183 plant only has about six leaves effected, the three pollinations have a crack in the stem by fruit and oozing a clear gooey exudate. I sprayed with Mancozeb Wed. which seems to have halted it. It came from that last heat spell we had in WV and a very humid drizzly night. Next day leaves oily and oozing (maybe only six total leaves.I had only sprayed Daconil starting in July d/t three leaves effected.. Partly I wasn't diligent enough, I'm growing this year for some genetics but would still like to control this stuff. I have been using a modified Vigor-Cal-Phos weekly. DaconiI may need to step up with a copper spray.Should I clip the three pollinations which are oozing? I sprayed Mancozeb with Myclobutanil (Immunox) wed. The leaves have not been worse and new growth seems good. Thanks, Don
