I was positioning a young pumpkin today and heard the dreaded crack! Upon inspection it seems to be superficial and on the underside junction of the stem and vine (maybe 1/2 in long 1/16th inch deep). Is there any hope of this healing and the pumpkin growing to maturity? mark

Coat it with some captan past and keep an eye on it. It dosn't sound like a crack that will cause trouble, if you take the right precations.

I gotta say I did a stupid thing...It's been 95 degress here and today it was 75 when I moved the pumpkin. I know better but..I guess I wasn't thinking. It's my best one on my 1081 Leonzi so I'm hoping I didn't mess it up. The good news is its supposed to be dry and 85 for the next 5 days so it should have a chance of healing without rotting. Thanks Mark
