I read the diary of the guy from Sweden that banks his urine all winter to use in his garden. Wouldn't the salt eventually kill his ground? I say this because there was a sour patch in my garden that resulted from a dog kennel that used to be there. I had to haul dirt and old manure to pop it out of it.
In my opinion I think human urine would be a bad idea.

I just thought the pic of the full buckets was a little overboard. If it works for him, fine. I think the best use is a deterrent to animals. The Indians showed the Pilgrims how to use fish for ferts. I think it is still a good idea.

Well. I take a pee on a certain area of grass on our lawn on a regular basis and its the most luscious green grass we have. The grass also appears drought tollerant, to a certain degree, in other areas that i pee on from time to time. I guess that Steves analysis of pee proves that N is the obvious reason why these luscious areas exist.

Interesting. Thanks guys.
The wife won't let me build an out house in the garden just yet! Still won't do it, our pH here is too salty already.

Perhaps this Swedish gentleman will reply himself but I know he doesn't use salt in his food. I'm not sure how much that makes a difference.

I'm not saying it is a bad idea for everyone because he has had good results. Just for someone like me to store my own waste and have the wife and kids trip over it, it's kinda tacky. Just a thought. If he starts #2 out there, Uff-da.

rememeber, it is Sweden. probably commonplace. he has some other TREMENDOUS ideas that are really cool, too. i wonder if it would be good as something to mix-in with other natural fertilizers for a foliar/drench/soak thing? maybe next year, after some research, lol... not griping, not complaining, just commenting---eric g

I could contribute to my own garden after mixing a few "toddies", but someone will have to figure out what is better...whiskey or beer?
