What is this mutant vine growing from my plant. This is not one of my giant plant varieties but just the plain ole punkin variety. I don't know how I missed this one but I have a plant that started on one corner of my 10x10 shed and the main is now on the opposite corner 20 feet away. But now the main has all of a sudden gone flat as a pancake and is about 4 inches wide - its kinda funny lookin. It is still growing and has about 4 males and at least 2 females all coming out in the same area - what in the world happened to my plant?

I've had three do this so far... It's called 'flatvining'.. If you pinch off all the terminal/new growth - you may get it to start some secondary 'normal' growth..
So far this has worked for 2-out-a-3 of my flatvines...
