Is it 7 days or 10 days that, if your freshly pollinated pumpkin hasn't shriveled, then it is probably all right? I can't seem to remember. I could probably search the archives, but it's just as easy to ask a quick question.
Thanks all

We had some pumpkins last year that aborted at bigger than basketball size fruit. I would not yet count it as "all right" until it gets bigger. The first signs for us of an abort, was the pumpkin loosing the shin on its outer shell.

Incredible, I would have thought that you were safe by then. I had a lot of problems getting plants to the pollination stage this year. Don't know what the problem was, but I'm thinking that it was the heat. Hopefully I've got something going by now.
Thanks Dave

My regular pumpkins are aborting several all over the plants due to the heat stress. I hand pollinated many, watched them grow to over softball size, then shrivel and die.

I had one abort at day 32 111lbs. this year. Usually you'll know by day 15 if it's a good set.
