Hello:
I have a problem with my leafs. They turn yellow at the edge of the leafs and the yellow work in and the next thing I know the leafs is dead. Maybe a fugue of some type? Or over fertilizing? Some times I see the yellow starting in the middle of the leafs.I put down Seven to help out with some bugs, but the yellowing leafs were there before that.
I still have new growth and that looks good.
Thanks for your help.

Is this occurring all over the plant or just near the stump?

Start at the stump and now it about 2/3 of the vine, I'm start to see some of the yellowing on the new growth at the end of the vine. All and all it's all over.
Thanks

Do a general check on your soil nutrient & pH levels. If something there is outta-wack - I suspect that it's a micronutrient deficiency. Most likely Mg or Ca - since the plant is raiding it's old growth for the deficient nutrient - in order to support it's new growth. You may also be starting to get into Fe & S deficiency since the new growth is beginning to show chlorosis problem. Both tend to go hand-in-hand - since those nutrients tend to leach out've the soil fairly quickly, and many chemical fertilizers only contain the 'big three'. A good folier micronutrient spray may save it.

Could also be climate related - what's the precip been like? Too much and/or not enough rain could be weakening the plant.

RogNC - you're absolutely right! I was just going by the fact he said symptoms started prior to bugs....

Markk - study your base stem VERY CAREFULLY.. look for the waste holes from SVB.
