My moms pumkin has pretty much stalled at 85". The stem between the pumpkin and vine is weeping. What causes this?

Many stems weep green boggery goo. The act of growing fast is stressful.

Don't scrape or destroy and rubbery goo that is pumpkin created. That is normal self healing substance.
