I've been curious in regards to the factor(s) that cause a pumpkin to go right or left on the vine. Of the AG's that I've successfully grown out, the majority of them have fallen to the right (standing at the stump, looking down the main). Any thoughts?
Thanks;
Jamie

better yet what direction was the vine going and what direction was the fruit setting. All our good ones have been on the right side with the plant running south to north so the fruit would be on the east side of the vine.

I would venture a guess that most are either East side of a north/south vine (where the sun comes up in da mornin')...or the south side of a east/west vine...the side that the sun passes by on...(at least here north of the equator)!!! Peace, Wayne
