Does anyone know or is there a chart somewhere that gives approx weight gain per inches gained? 1 inch = x weight?

weight gains increase every inch at 210 inches, 1 inch equals about 1 pound, at 400 inches one inch equals about 10 lbs...hope that makes sense

I doubt it because 1" gain on a small pumpkin may = 2 lbs for example while a 1" gain on a large pumpkin may = 20 lbs

David, you can find a chart that uses either the circumference or the OTT (over the top measurement) method to estimate weight at the GVGO website at: www.gvgo.ca
It's in the "Articles & Files" section, near the bottom. I think it's as close to what you're asking for as exists.

Ya got it. Thanks crammed. Sort of what I was looking for. Guess inches in weight are different, depending on the size of the fruit. The larger the pumpkin is, every inch means more in weight, sort of what Mike was talking about. The charts are perfect.
