Here's another item of interest I've observed in the rear patch..
Three GPs - 660 C.rose, 216 Jepson & 612 wolfely - have had their main stumps rot-through. Even with the Fungicide applications. Believe it's been these heavy downpores + the high humidity & heavy dew + extremely high temps. I've checked for SVB - but no signs.
The interesting thing is that the vines have been growing, trying to set fruit, and green & vigorous - even without their main stumps. Apparently, the attempts to grow a multitude of strong secondary roots by burying MANY portions of vines was successful.
Now, the question remains: Can these 'stumpless vines' not only set fruit - but support the growth of decent-sized fruit?

Is it recommended to directly apply the fungicides to the stem or stump or just foliar?
