Is there anything to revive the old looking leaves.
most of the leaves look old, dark and brittle. my pumpkin is slowing down, is this due to the leaves getting (old)
the plant is about 70 days old.

I have read that fish/kelp emulsion is supposed to keep your leaves healthy. I doubt if they can be revived much. Generally with all plants I have messed with, once the leaf is damaged, its damaged!! but I will let someone with more expertise tell us!! I think in one of the previous posts someone said that this problem happens on old leaves. It also said to just keep taking care of the plant as usual and the vine will keep pumpin juice.

An old brittle leaf is still green and still working, so whatever you do, don't cut them off.

any leaf I think is diseased I cut off. but I have plenty of sun-baked leaves that I allow to stay.

milford, CT,

Randy...I'm no expert but...I have had the same problem every year for the last 2 years with leaves aging early, and decided to try some things out this year. I mixed seaweed/fish and baking soda in my Miracle Grow container (approximately 1 oz each) and have been foliar feeding twice a week for the last 2 weeks. My old leaves have not gotten worse and the PM that was starting hasn't progressed any further. If anyone else has any comments on whether this mixture could be helping please post replies. Mark
