Just did a major overhaul of how I store GP seeds. Went to Big Lots and purchased one of those three dawer 'roll carts' made by rubbermade. The drawers are not 'airtight' but shouldn't allow any mice in (if those suckers invade the house again).. Since I have acquired a decent-sized collection of varieties from different growers - I did the 'librarian method' and wrote A-M and N-Z on the top two drawers, With 'Peck' on the last drawer (you ALWAYS end up with more of your own seeds **grin**)..

This method keeps everything together in a nice, orderly manner (which pleases the spouse).. And this way I can quickly access seed stock from other growers - just like a library..(BTW - I use LARGE 8"X10" envelops for my seeds now. Was using Mason jars with net tops)

So how do each of you store your seeds?

Do you keep the seed to grow in the future, or just in case someday someone wants one, or just for the collection?? I have some seed from my 132 still in my closet and in good condition, I just don't know if I will ever use them again, and debating if I should just feed them to the squirrels and keep one for my scrapbook.
