Does it seem to you that extremly longer pumpkins will usually go lighter? or heavier to the charts?

Most of the weight be in the shoulders of the pumpkin. The higher your pumpkin grows, the better. If you use only the circumference method for measuring on a long pumpkin, you may be disappointed with the actual weight. OTT method will be a lot more accurate. Hope I answered your question!

Hey Brooks, I had a one like that last year and the walls were surprisingly thin on it and I lost it about mid september. Pics are in last years diary if ya wanna look. I got another one like it going this year, but it is more of a peanut shape and has been a very slow grower.

I played around with simple geometry recently and compared a half sphere to a half cylinder with the same OOT and found that the volume for the half sphere was slightly greater, hence it should also be heavier, all other things being equal, which they seldom are.
