I am having trouble keeping my 1233.5 Reiss pumpkin growing, It has slowed down to 3 lbs today @ day 36. Just wondering how everyone else's pumpkin is doing?

I have seen a few nice growing Reiss pumpkins, Jos for example, has been growing wel, also nice shape and coulor. Others have kind of skin bubble, but grow well (Sweden). Owen Olsen had a peanut shape and growing not that big so far. So resuls differ a lot, it seems. I hope to grow a nice Reiss offspring next year... Hoping it will grow well. :-)

My 1233.5 Reiss was growing and average of 23lbs a day three weeks ago for several weeks. Then the weather turned cooler and it dropped of to 13 lbs. a day. Just went over 500 lbs. on day 45. Without recovery to a twenty pounds a day average the fruit will not make a thousand pounds. It is not likely that it will do that in the last week of August through September 20th. By that time my grow is finished. I think the fun is about over. We shall see. ........It has great shape and color.

Mine is at day 55, and still growing 3-5 pounds a day. A lot slower than a few weeks ago though. Still the best looking pumpkin that I have ever grown!

Our 1233.5 Reiss is still growing well and averaging about 16 to 20lbs a day. It's now 45 days old, a beautiful shape and color and the second biggest pumpkin in our patch at 277" OTT.

Biggest one in the patch here. 300". Orange and beautiful just like the one Jos had. His blossom end split sure makes me a bit afraid this could happen here too.
theo: the peanut shaped one is not off the 1233 but off the 670 Daigle

Mine's at about day 49 and was doing about 9.5 lbs./day from days 40-45. Considering the plant and my patch's historical growth rates, it's doing decent. It's likely a little under 450 lbs. currently. Slow and steady has been it's growth rate, from pollination.

Mine is just ramping up, at 22 days old it est is about 110lbs. Nice round yellow/orange and already ribbing. Its picking up steam at about 10-12 per day, however I am late due to the hail taking off the 1st 6 feet of leaves and secondarys. But Im liking it as it is growing and picking up steam....we need more 90 degree days.....
