OK, the hubby is wanting me to enter one in the Dickson Fair (Sept 4th) - to help 'pay for those chemicals' - providing mine's even big enough **grin** I was going to go to the weighoff - with no 'kin - just to meet any local growers. I hear there aren't many..
Now just to complicate matters - my 625 Foss - is continuing to have problems at it's stem. It is over 300lbs and approaching the 55 day mark. But I'm afraid I may have to cut and harvest seed in a week or so , due to the stem.... Which of course puts it at being harvested at the right time for the fair...
Should I show it? Or just harvest seed?

Show it...not many growers in your area...showing it will generate interest, and maybe the lack of growers in your area will change, because you showed it. Peace, Wayne

Try and keep the Pumpkin going then do both, Show then harvest the Seeds. That way you stand a chance of maybe recouping some money spent this season, meet others that you might be able to promote the hobby to and have a bunch of Seeds at the end.
