Am I the only guy who drinks beer in the patch? Or do you have to be a tea drinker to grow a big one? lol.

Sitting with an ice cold beer and fresh cigar and watching the pumpkins grow. That, and loading the truck on weigh-off day.

I enjoy pollinating. It's the beginning of something great (or not but you never know).

Pressing my palm to the curve of a warm pumpkin on a sunny day. Oh, and watching my husband rototill. I enjoy that a lot.

Standing out in the patch in August when the pumpkins are getting big, chewing the fat with friends, drinking some beer, and just marvelling at how nuts we all are for growing these things.

Sipping my Irish Cream (beer is for weaklings..LOL) on my back porch - and thinking about how I'll change things the following year. And the new things I'll learn/discover from each experiment/season.. And realizing that every season is/will be a 100% improvement over the last (whether it be improvements in weed control, over-all plant health, irrigation, pest management, etc.......)

The give and take from most folks on this site. Where else is the diversity of this guidance found? When is book four to be published? I think this is book IV. Instance opinions and help suggestions many of them very good.

I like sharing the good and bad with my buddies here on this site. No one else can understand the hardships when something happens to a plant or pumpkin except my fellow growers. ps. also beating kenny blair for once would be nice lol
