Every year after the pumpkins are weighed and on display im asked at least one question that makes me laugh on the inside.
my favorite was last year when a nice young lady asked.
"excuse me sir, how many years did it take you too grow that pumpkin?"

The one I hate is when they ask If I did anything special.......thing is until I go BIG (over 1000) I aint been doing special enough.....lol I got to get back to studying......

One of my favorites is "where did you buy that huge pumpkin?"

Then when I tell them I grew it in my backyard, most people ask for seeds. I'm always happy to give out seeds and keep a bunch of packs ready for the parents at halloween.

Saxomaphone...I gave a plant to one of my friends at the hospital....she grew it to ~200lbs. Her hubby went out into the patch and tried to TWIST it to make it grow evenly on the bottom!! Needless to say she and her daughter weren't very happy! They now call him P.K. Pumpkin Killer. He learned his lesson and she is getting some good seeds this year!

Last year, still during the growing season one of my neighbors asked me "Who grew that?" When I told him that we were growing it the same neighbor said "No you didn't."

The one i get a lot is why is the plant so big!! ? Come on now !! can you see the siZe of pumpkin !! Gee i wonder?? I mean on my trip to weighoff it was 380 miles to elk grove & people passed us , but then slowed back down almost not looking where they were going ON FREEWAY !! some taking pics on frw !! at gas stations blocking intrance to look everybody looking everywhere !! I mean come on why a big plant ?? Gee i wonder !!!

I always have people ask me how if i turn it I tell them the stem has a swivel and I just pic it up and flip it over as the look at this huge thing in my back yard and they reply really
