I've heard your pumpkin needs to be atleast 500lbs to qualify for an AGGC listing. Does the pumpkin need to be weighed at a specific type of weigh-off? Is, for example, our Santa Cruz County Fair Weigh-off considered an offical site that will qualify us to get listed in the AGGC if our pumpkins go over 500lbs?

Dan, Did you contact Mike at the AGGC, and ask if membership is open? That's the way to find out, I think. I'd let him know what you've got growing so far. You've got some very nice pumpkins going there, by the way.

You can also become a member of the GVGO and get a limited membership to the AGGC. You get pictures of submitted pumpkins, their report cards, genetic history, etc. I had fun all last winter looking up genetics info there and trying to figure out good crosses for this year. I think the GVGO membership it $20.00. Great deal. Check it out!
